The Lubbock Arts Alliance is a non-profit organization working to ensure that Lubbock has a vibrant, growing art scene that remains accessible to every member of the community.
The Lubbock Arts Alliance provides a dynamic art outreach program, SmART, to serve the most vulnerable in the community: low-income minority children, and children in foster care.
The Lubbock Arts Alliance partnership with Texas Tech Health Science Center has created the opportunity to develop the art educational program “Foster Parents Night Out”. In this program the children get to experience the freedom of expression and creativity in the classroom, and Health Science pediatrician students gain valuable experience in their field by interacting with the children. Our lessons plans focus on different themes such as dental health, healthy eating, exercise, and mental health.
